The Super Badass Variac Fuzz is aggressive, biting, and highly versatile. It features control to vary (hence the Vriac name) the pedal's voltage from 5V to 15V for a wide range of fuzz tones, taking you all the way from vintage saturation to wide open transparency with the twist of a knob. Setting it low gives you instant access to the much prized "dying battery" saggy fuzz sound, without having to carry almost flat batteries around. Increasing the voltage raises the effect's headroom. Like all MXR pedals, it comes in a road rugged housing and features true bypass switching to preserve the integrity of your signal when the effect is switched off.
